A loaded 4Runner puts steady heat into its rear dampers. Stock shocks fade on long dirt roads, the rear starts to float, and the controlled feel you started with is gone by mid-afternoon.
This ICON V.S. 2.0 Series shock for the rear driver side uses a nitrogen-charged monotube with a remote reservoir and a 6063 anodized aluminum body to shed heat. The 5/8in chrome plated shaft resists corrosion, polyurethane bushings and forged steel stems give an OE-type fit, and the shock is fully rebuildable and re-tunable.
Bolt it into the factory location alongside its passenger side partner and head out. The rear holds its composure with 0-3in of rear lift.
