A 4Runner that carries its camp on the roof and its recovery gear up front puts real weight on the front passenger side corner. Factory damping gives up long before the trip does.

The front passenger side corner of the Toyota 4Runner 2003-2009 gets a B8 8112 ZoneControl CR, a complete coilover with spring, 60mm piston and a remote reservoir. A threaded spring seat sets ride height, and the remote reservoir adds oil capacity and cooling. The damping is position sensitive, so it firms up as the suspension compresses and stays comfortable over small inputs.

Mount the complete coilover, fix the reservoir to its chassis bracket and take a test drive. The front end of the 4Runner sits where you want it and works properly off the pavement.
