Great option for a 3rd Gen 4Runner
"My exhaust was becoming rotted out and this was a good excuse to go for a nice stainless cat-back. I like the tone and volume of the exhaust. Its not too loud inside or out. I have tried it with and without the resonator using just the capped-off U shaped bend. There isn't a big difference if you ask me. Also, the mid level, more aggressive setup doesn't mean its louder in the 4Runner. Actually I think its just slightly quieter inside without the resonator. To me that makes sense, since there isn't another chamber under the vehicle collecting sound, and emitting it into the cabin. In any case there isn't any bad droning noise. You can hear it, but its not annoying. The radio can easily mask it. Fit and finish was excellent and install went without issue. Don't forget a new O2 sensor gasket!I'm happy with my purchase. UPS messed up the delivery when the box broke open as they were lifting it out of the van. They took it with them since they damaged it. Trail Recon's customer service was very helpful and had another one sent out right away. I didn't have shipping insurance, but it was UPS's fault which is may be why Trail Recon was able to help me. In any case, I'm happy with the exhaust and where I got it from. I recommend both!"
