Jeep Wrangler JL 2018-2025, TeraFlex Alpha HD Hinged Spare Tire Carrier Kit

A big spare on a JL turns the tailgate into a hazard. The weight hangs on the factory hinge, and getting into the back means wrestling a heavy tire out of the way every time.

The TeraFlex Alpha HD Hinged Spare Tire Carrier uses the factory tailgate hinge mounting points, with a one-piece forged steel hinge tying the top and bottom hinge locations together. Internal gussets and bracing in the JL body support the carrier and tire, and the carrier spans nearly the width of the tailgate. It accepts up to a 40in tire with the Alpha HD Adjustable Spare Tire Mount.

Bolt it to the hinge points, add the mount, and hang the spare. The cargo area opens in one smooth swing, and the threaded holes add places for a recovery jack or fluid containers.
