A lifted JL or Gladiator on larger tires puts steady load on the front ball joints. Once they wear, the steering wanders, the front end clunks over ruts, and the fix is another weekend with a press and another alignment.
MetalCloak Baller Joints HD replace the upper and lower joints with load-bearing units built on an induction-hardened chromoly spindle and ball riding in heat-treated tool steel races. Both joints are sealed with O-rings and shaft wiper seals, take grease through recessed zerk fittings, adjust for preload, and can be rebuilt with the knuckle still on the Jeep. A threaded aluminum lock nut and top cap capture each joint in the C so it cannot pull out.
Press them in, thread on the caps with the included wrench, set the preload, and the front end stays tight through miles of washboard and rock.
