A steel bumper is a strong mount for big lights, but the brackets and wiring for a JL or JT take time to sort out. Past the headlights the road is still dark.

This Baja Designs kit was tested on the Jeep JL / JT with the steel bumper. The XL80 is rated at 9,500 lumens and 80W with four Cree LEDs, and like the XL Pro it offers a 20 percent dimming feature, a powder coated housing and an anodized bezel.

Mount the lights, connect the toggle wiring and switch them on. The trail is lit well beyond the headlights.
