A four-door Wrangler JL carries passengers and gear, and its long rocker panels take the hits on narrow trails. Climbing in and out of a lifted rig at the trailhead adds a step most people would rather skip.

The Rock Slide Engineering Gen III slider protects the rocker panel and builds in a power step. When a door opens the step drops 12 in from the slider, and when the door closes it retracts flush. The smart motor design leaves out the gas strut, which helps the step keep working in cold and harsh weather, and the back of the step is 2 in longer for access to the rear door.

Bolt the sliders to the factory mounting points, run the stand-alone harness and fit the door sensors. The Jeep gets rocker protection and an easy step in.
