A Wrangler JK on big tires puts heavy loads on the front wheel bearings and the 5-lug flange, and a front driveline failure at speed ends the trip. Locking hubs and a stronger wheel pattern address both.

This TeraFlex kit moves the inner and outer wheel bearings farther apart to cut bearing load. The bearings ride on a forged 4140 chromoly spindle, the 8x6.5 in bolt pattern adds wheel-to-flange strength over 5 lugs, and the hubs disengage for highway use or flat towing. The SlimLock hub design also seals the OEM wheel speed sensors from mud and rocks so ABS and ESP data keeps flowing.

Plan on a full front axle conversion: swap the hubs, spindles and stub shafts, add the slotted big brakes, and you have a front end set up for the 8-lug pattern.
