Heavy wheel and tire combos and hard low-range work load the rear axle shafts on a Rubicon, and a bent shaft ends the trip. The TeraFlex Rear Axle 8-Lug Full-Float Conversion Kit moves vehicle weight from the shafts to forged 4140 chromoly spindles with twin bearings. Case-hardened 4340 chromoly shafts then carry torque only. The kit suits overland expedition style driving and is offered in 30-spline and 32-spline versions. OEM park brakes, calipers and pads are retained, and factory sensors stay in place. Install it, and the rear axle can carry the load.
