Larger than factory tires are hard to carry, and a bumper mounted carrier is a bigger job than some owners want. A body mount carrier moves the spare onto the tailgate hinge side.
The Freedom Series carrier replaces the limited factory tailgate hinges and supports up to a 37in spare plus accessories. Bronze oil lite bushings and 1/2in pins sit in 1/4in thick steel hinge side brackets. The tailgate still opens and closes with the factory handle, and the carrier works with virtually all aftermarket rear bumpers as well as the factory bumper.
Bolt it on with the included hardware, with no cutting, drilling or welding, set the spare mount for clearance and visibility, and go.
