Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018, MetalCloak 6Pak Shock Rear Mount and Clearance Kit Info & Specs
The stock rear shock mounts on a JK hang low, limit shock length and catch on ledges on the way out of a climb.
This MetalCloak kit lets every size of 6Pak long-travel shock bolt in. Outboard-offset lower brackets in laser-cut 3/16in steel and inboard-offset upper bar pin eliminators give the shock bodies clearance, and the eliminators add 1/2in of down travel. The factory mounts can then be trimmed, which frees up to 3in of ground clearance and adds to the departure angle.
Plan on about an hour, plus optional cutting, and the longer shocks are in.
