Deep water crossings and long dusty roads both threaten an engine's air supply, and a gulp of water or a clogged filter can end a trip far from help. A factory JK intake sits low and pulls air from where the dust is thickest.
AEV's Snorkel Kit raises the intake for the 2007-2011 3.8L gas V6 and the 2.8L CRD diesel used in export JKs. It is made from cross-linked polyethylene for durability on the trail, works on both left and right hand drive models, and needs only minor modification to the stock hood. On AEV's Heat Reduction Hood it fits with no cutting.
Install it, route the intake, and push into the crossing or the dust cloud with clean air going to the engine.
