Grimm OffRoad's Hood Hinge Light Brackets mount an auxiliary light at the lower A-pillar and cowl location on each side of the F-250 through F-550, using the stock hood hinge bolt locations. They are formed from 1/4 inch high-strength steel and take lights up to 3 inches in diameter.
Swap in the brackets and mount your pods. There is no added wind noise or whistling.
