A large spare tire puts a lot of weight on the factory Bronco carrier, and the tailgate can flex with it. Reversing through brush also puts the tire in the way of branches.
The DV8 Offroad spare tire guard mounts to multiple points along the tailgate to add rigidity and protects the spare from light debris and brush. It provides mounting locations for hi-lift jacks, a shovel, tanks and other gear, accepts locking pins (not included) for security, and keeps the OEM back-up camera view clear. It fits up to a 20 in wheel with a 37x12.50 spare and works with the LPBR-03 plate bracket and ABBR-02.
Bolt it to the tailgate with no drilling.

Not compatible with the Ford HD Tire Carrier. Wheels larger than 20 in, wheels wider than 9.5 in and -44 offset wheels do not fit. 4 in or more of backspacing is recommended. A high offset wheel requires a 1.5 in wheel spacer or ET lug nuts.
