Racers and recovery crews both want the speed of a hook, but a conventional hook can fray a strap, drop a strap end during slack and rattle against the fairlead. Choosing between a hook and a closed system has meant giving something up.

The UltraHook is a winch hook with a shackle mount hole machined into its body. It is CNC machined from 7000 series aluminum, uses a 5/8in titanium double shear pin with no splicing, and is rated for a 16,000 lb max load. A latch lock pin stored in the body locks the safety latch, and EPDM pads protect the fairlead.

Use it as a hook, or run a shackle through the body for closed system winching. Fold it against the fairlead when you are done.
