Factor55 Hawse Fairlead for Synthetic Rope

Synthetic winch rope wears out at the fairlead, and an opening with a sharp edge or tight radius takes a little more rope with every pull. The Factor55 Hawse Fairlead is CNC machined from thick 6000 series aluminum bar, 1.0in or 1.5in against the 0.75in industry average, with a large-radius opening that extends rope life and a tall slot that passes tube thimbles up to 1/2in. Bolt it to the bumper with your own hardware. The rope runs smoother and lasts longer.

Notes

• Mounting hardware is not included. The winch manufacturer's bolts are adequate in most cases. Where longer bolts are needed, 3/8in Grade 5 to Grade 8 bolts with a 1.25 to 1.5in shank are a starting point, and 7/16in bolts may also be used.
• Make sure the synthetic rope cannot touch any sharp edge, such as the opening in the steel fairlead mounting plate or the bumper. The opening may need to be ground larger, then sanded and deburred.
