Steel shackles are heavy, hard on paint and awkward to pack, and a soft shackle does the same job at a fraction of the weight. The Factor55 Extreme Duty Soft Shackle is 3/8in HMPE plasma rope with a woven polyester jacket for abrasion and UV protection, whipped and coated with Fiber Lock. Minimum breaking strength is 43,500 lb with an 8,700 lb WLL, both clearly marked. Loop it through the recovery points and pull. It is made in the USA and lab and field tested for consistent breaking strength.
