The DV8 Offroad 12,000 lb winch pairs a 6hp 12V DC series motor with a 3-stage planetary gear train and a 256:1 gear reduction ratio. The steel cable is guided by a steel roller fairlead and ends in a galvanized steel hook, and the control box is metal. Both a 12.5 foot wired remote and a wireless remote are included.
Mount it, wire it, and keep the recovery plan inside the bumper.
