A Silverado 1500 owner who tows, hauls and wheels wants a rear bumper that can take a hit and still look right. Heavy steel replacements often add a lot of weight and leave out the lighting and recovery points that make them useful.
The DV8 Offroad rear bumper is built from 3/16 in steel with 1/4 in steel reinforcements, and strategic cutouts and removable mesh aluminum grilles keep the weight down. Two flush-mount LED backup lights and two steel D-rings are included, and the factory license plate lights stay in use. Access to the spare tire is retained.
Bolt it on, wire the backup lights, and the truck has a protected rear end with two shackle recovery points.
