Although installation instructions are important on all of our products, on this one, a failure to follow the guidelines exactly, in particular concerning setting the linkage, will result in premature failure of the snubber and premature wear on the hinge assembly. Regular maintenance (i.e., 5000 miles) is required to check the alignment and linkage.
