Tents, fuel, recovery gear and camp kit pile up, and the hard top was never designed as a load floor. Clamping weight to it, or drilling into it, is the part of a build that keeps owners up at night.

This Rhino-Rack system starts with the Backbone, an internal frame fitted to the Wrangler that gives the roof real mounting points without changing what the Jeep can do. On top sit three black 59in Vortex crossbars. RCL locking legs come off without tools once the system is first fitted, and a lockable cover plate guards the locking mechanism. Six legs spread the load across the length of the roof.

Fit the Backbone, mount the legs and bars, and set the load. When the rack is not needed, the legs and bars come off without tools and the JK looks stock again.

Key Features

Rhino-Rack Backbone mounts to the internal frame of the Wrangler

Designed to work with the factory capabilities of the Jeep

Low-profile setup for low clearance

Lockable cover plate protects the locking mechanism, MasterKey compatible

Legs and crossbars come off without tools once the system is first fitted

Simple trigger locking system for single person operation

Tested to AS1235:2000 (Australian) and ISO11154:2006 (city crash, international) standards

Specifications

Bar length: 59 in (1500mm)

Bar rows: 3

Bar style: Overhang Bar

Bar type: Vortex

Color: Black

Leg profile: RCL

Mount style: Backbone

Fitment

Jeep Wrangler JK 4-Door 2007-2018 (Freedom Top or hard top)

In the Box

Rhino-Rack Backbone mounting system (RJKB1)

JK hardware kit (SUB0800)

Quick Mount Vortex spacer, 5mm (QMVA05)

3 Vortex bars, black 59in (VA150B)

RCL locking legs, set of 6 (RCL6)

Warranty

Lifetime warranty.

MPN JC-01312

https://trailrecon.com/products/jeep-wrangler-jk-4-door-rhino-rack-vortex-rcl-3-bar-backbone-roof-rack
