Brad, TrailRecon’s founder, served for 26 years in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. His assignments included tours with the U.S. Marines, including a combat tour in Iraq. In the Marine Corps, the Battalion Aid Station (BAS) is staffed by Navy Hospital Corpsmen who treat combat casualties to minimize mortality, prevent further injury, and stabilize for further evacuation. The BAS is structured to operate as far forward as the tactical situation permits.
